Former corporate lawyer ....Nathan Sawaya

Former corporate lawyer Nathan Sawaya has been creating large-scale Lego sculptures for the last several years. This work, entitled Yellow, has become one of his signature pieces. "I guess it's because opening up oneself to the world is not an easy thing to do," Sawaya says.

Andy Warhol had a secret

Andy Warhol is one of my top favorites. To me he is the non-challant court jester of art. But I think Andy knew exactly what he was achieving with his short answers and detached demeanor. not many people are aware that his last series included a remake of Divinci's last supper and other icons familiar to catholics. As he was a devout catholic who went to mass weekly and prayed with his mother---what you say?!! crazy.

These are just a few ripe with symbolisim. I think its interesting that he choose a cat to be draped over the infant JC. You could trace that back to the old masters like Rembrant when they used felines as symbols of prosperity or evil, just depends on the way the feline is shown. Or Andy just being Andy.
